Hannah & Tye’s Relaxed and Rustic Bendigo Wedding

Working together in a bakery is how the first time Hannah & Tye met each other. Their love in humours and mutual love of dogs have brought them to tie the knot. This laidback couple wanted their wedding to be relaxed, outdoor, rustic, with natural bush setting, fairy lights, so they chose Gunyah Valley Retreat in Goornong for the venue.

It was a relaxing morning to start with. We successfully captured Tye getting ready with Zeus, their dog and with his groomsmen. As we moved to the bride, at Gunyah Valley Resort, we started to see more details about the day. The arbor, the aisle as well as the table setting, they decorated it with Australian native flowers. We absolutely love the details on Hannah’s wedding dress. The bouquet and her hairpiece are matching the theme, made of Australian native flowers!

They wanted to do a first look, and it was beautiful. We love Tye’s reaction seeing Hannah for the first time on the day. Tye’s trying to be all cool, but we can see his face turned just a bit red. Although they have practiced getting their photos taken (see their pre-wedding photos-coming soon), their first look moment not just added some story but also helpful to calm the couple. We can see this by looking at pre-wedding moments we captured just before the ceremony.

The Ceremony! Where should we start? Tying in seamlessly with the surrounds, Hannah’s dress and bouquet flowed beautifully as she entered the ceremony from a handmade curtain. At the other end, Tye waited calmly and smiled as Hannah walked in the aisle.

They managed to pull off a relaxed party vibe and we captured the love and humour of it. The sunset photo session was stunning, followed by the dancing the night away on the outdoor dancing floor.
